BUILDING COMPLETE OFFENSIVE PLAYERS
Elliott Bender grew up in San Jose, California, back when lacrosse barely existed there. No goals at local parks and no private trainers. The nearest team was 45 minutes away. So he made his own reps: an old VHS tape called Mark Millon's Offensive Wizardry, a stick, and hours alone every day after school repeating the same move until it was his.
Elliott trained under NLL legend Colin Doyle for six years and worked alongside box lacrosse pioneer Shaydon Santos, absorbing the offensive concepts and teaching philosophy that still shape his coaching today. While coaching at a tournament in Alberta, he earned an invitation to a Junior A tryout in Canada, and Elliott spent years competing in Canadian box lacrosse while continuing to coach back home.
The results followed. Two California state championships as a head coach. A conference title as offensive coordinator at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. A state runner-up finish in his first season at Ensworth School in Nashville.
In 2025, Elliott started sharing his system online as "The Box Lacrosse Guy." What began as posting drills turned into coaches and players worldwide reaching out for mentorship. He's since helped over 150 athletes reach the collegiate level by teaching the creativity, decision-making, and stick skills most American players never see.
At The Lacrosse Barn, Elliott brings that box lacrosse foundation to Dallas athletes looking to add a dimension their competition doesn't have. Whether you’re looking to improve your stick skills, offensive IQ, or finishing ability, Elliott’s coaching develops the habits, decision-making, and creativity that most traditional training never covers.
